For musical theatre students preparing for college auditions, our advanced ballet classes provide the technical foundation, control, and artistry that Collegiate Musical Theatre programs look for—helping you stand out as a polished, versatile performer ready for the demands of professional training.

Beginner

This fun and energetic class introduces young dancers to the foundations of jazz technique. Students will learn basic positions, isolations, and across-the-floor progressions including jazz walks, pas de bourrées, pivot turns, chassés, and kicks. Emphasis is placed on proper alignment, musicality, and expressive movement, while developing strength, flexibility, and coordination.

Through center warm-ups, technique drills, and beginner-level choreography, dancers will start building the skills and confidence needed for more advanced jazz and musical theatre training—all in a supportive, upbeat environment.

Intermediate

This dynamic and fast-paced class is designed for dancers with a foundational understanding of jazz technique who are ready to take their training to the next level. Students will refine core skills such as jazz walks, pivot turns, pas de bourrées, and chassés, while advancing into more complex movements including double pirouettes, battements, leaps, and floor work.

Class structure includes a strong focus on center warm-ups, technical drills, across-the-floor combinations, and stylized choreography. Dancers will work on musicality, performance quality, and precision, while continuing to develop flexibility, strength, and control.

This class is ideal for dancers looking to deepen their technique and prepare for more advanced jazz and musical theatre.

Beginner 

Perfect for dancers new to tap, this class introduces the basics of rhythm, timing, and footwork in a fun and supportive environment. Students will learn fundamental steps such as shuffles, flaps, ball-changes, and cramp rolls, while developing coordination, musicality, and confidence. It’s a great way to build a strong foundation while making music with your feet!

Advanced

For experienced tappers ready to take their skills to the next level, this fast-paced class dives into complex rhythms, syncopation, and intricate footwork. Dancers will explore advanced combinations, choreography, rhythmic, and improvisation, all while refining technique, speed, and style. This class challenges students to push their musicality and precision, preparing them for performance-level tap work.

Commercial Dance

This fun and challenging class gives dancers the chance to explore a mix of styles used in today’s commercial dance world, including contemporary, jazz funk, hip hop, and musical theatre. Dancers will work on learning choreography from different genres, growing their musicality, and performing with confidence and expression.

Each class includes a full-body warm-up, across-the-floor exercises, and combinations that help dancers improve their technique, style, and stage presence. Inspired by music videos and live performances, the choreography helps students become more versatile and prepared for a variety of performance opportunities.

This class is great for intermediate to advanced dancers who want to grow their skills, try new styles, and train in a fun, fast-paced environment that encourages creativity and growth.
