Carolina Academy of Performing Arts (CAPA) is a premier educational organizationlocated in Apex, North Carolina, that provides conservatory-level instruction in theatre, music, dance, and film for youth ages 4-18 as well as adults. Founded by Melanie Prince, CAPA features instructors with professional Broadway, film, and television experience and operates in a supportive, non-competitive environment designed to challenge and inspire performers. The academy has received national recognition from the iTheatrics International Junior Theater Festival, winning multiple awards for excellence in dance and acting between 2020-2024, and currently operates out of Hope Church in Apex while working toward establishing a new performing arts center through fundraising efforts.
